  • Is Bing the New Google?
    by Mike Rochelle
    July 2009

Bing comes to us from Microsoft as the next search engine for the future. At first this search engine appears to be simple, but taking a look into the features of this very powerful engine brings a smile to my face.

Bing can, like other search engines, scour the web for data, pictures, video, and a wide array of useful and useless data. It does this at speeds rivaling Google.

It also has a video feature that sets it prominently in the lead in my opinion. You click on videos, and then enter your search information. It then gives you thumbnails of videos meeting your criteria. You then can hover your mouse over each one, and begins to play that video in a small size complete with sound.

Bing has hundreds of shopping sites. Search their cashback sites for instant discounts. News is broken up into news, politics, sports, and other categories.

All in all, Bing will be around for a long time to come and give other search engines a run for their money
