  • Talking with Tony
    by Carol Hall
    September 2005
Tony has been with BMI since October of 2003 and serves as one of our bi-lingual Customer Service Representatives. He is a lot of fun to work with and regularly shares stories with us about playing soccer on the weekends. He thought he might be to "shy" to interview; however, he managed to answer all my questions without hesitation!

Editor: Where were you born, and where did you grow up?
Tony: I was born in El Salvador and I grew up in Los Angeles, CA

Editor: What was your FIRST paying job?
Tony: I worked for my Dad (he did construction work) and he would pay me $15.00 for a weekend of work

Editor: Are you named after anyone?
    Tony: No, I am unique.

Editor: What did you buy with your very first paycheck?
Tony: I was 9 years old and my brother and I saved a lot of it, but I bought candy also.

Editor: What was the BEST advice you ever received, and from whom?
Tony: The best advice I received was from my Dad, he said "Stay away from drugs...and stay away from women until after you are out of high school"

Editor: If you could write a book about anything at all...what would the title be?
    Tony: "How To Make Money"

Editor: What is your "all time favorite" movie?
    Tony: (smiling broadly) "Forrest Gump"

Editor: What was your very first car?
Tony: A gold colored, 1982 Nissan Datsun B210. I bought it when I was 14 years old.

Editor: Where is the one place you have never been, that you would like to visit?
    Tony: "Heaven"

Editor: If you could only eat one food, for the rest of your life, what would it be?
(Tony hesitated a bit on this question...he said no matter what he picked, he would hate it if that was all he had) But, he settled on a broad choice...
    Tony: "Beef"

Editor: Close your eyes and imagine you are in a place called "Perfect" Where are you?
    Tony: I am at BMI
