    April 2008

Hello everyone again! I think the winter is finally over and spring is upon us. I came to that conclusion the other morning. I was outside the day before doing a little yard cleaning and was looking around at the houses around me, and the orchards and just looked on in despair. Would this winter ever end? The next morning, I was given my answer. Literally over night, the neighbors bush had bloomed. Now I don't know what this bush is, but it's absolutely beautiful, especially after a long winter. The sun was shining, the birds singing and it seems like the world around us is beginning to wake up.

Now, before I get to this months FAQ, I wanted to share something about last months' FAQ. I often wonder if anyone reads my article. This time I was given that answer as well. A wonderfully polite and thankful customer emailed me asking me if they followed the instructions I gave last month, if it would remove the address book, favorites list or emails off the original computer. I found this to be a great question. The answer for you  is No. It will not remove anything. It will simply copy it and allow you to import it all to the new computer.

Okay, now on to the FAQ for April. This month I have received a large number of calls about our Anti-Virus program. Most of those calls are from people with dialup. The most frequent question has been regarding the update feature. It seems that many of you are getting a message on the screen that says the "scanner engine is not up to date", or that the "virus control center is currently off".

I would like to offer a bit of relief for all of you:  This happens on my computer as well, because I am not online at all times. Norman is set to update in the wee hours of the night when most of us are sleeping. If your computer is turned off, it cannot do that. Then, in turn the next time you get online or turn your computer on, it will say it's not up to date. However, when you get online the next time, the program should update by itself and will begin working as normal.

If it doesn't, all you have to do is right click on the "N" icon down by the clock, and left click on "Internet Update".

Should you run into any trouble along the way, or forget any of this, just give us a call at 800-485-5006 or contact us with the live chat link from the top of any of our web pages.

Have a wonderful spring everyone. We'll talk again next month.
