Greetings to all of you! The theme of "The On Ramp" this month is "A Better Way"! The ever-growing resources on the Internet make many tasks much easier than in days past.
Things that may have seemed simple before, are even simpler (and more fun) than ever before. Take for example: painting your living room...no, the Internet cannot do it for you; however it can greatly assist you in picking the colors! Remember going to the paint store, picking up a handful of color chips....going home and holding them up on the wall, wondering if the color will compliment or clash with your furniture? Try this instead: Visualizer. -Click on Living Room on the top left -Click on a setting that is similar to your living room -Simply drag and drop the colors to the walls and furniture until you have the look that is right for you!
Another simple task made easier by the Internet is finding a phone number for a business. No need to find the phone book and then look up a category in the yellow pages and then find your listing. Take a look at goog411. This is a FREE service by our friends at Google. You simply dial 1-800-466-4411 on any phone. A recording will come on and ask what you are looking in what area. Tell the recording, and it will come back with the listings in that area. When you hear the one you want, say the number, and the recording says "Connecting"...next thing you know, the business you wanted is on the line. I have this number programmed into my cell phone so it is just a button away!

Happy March to everyone! I hope this spring finds you with as few issues as seem to have had over the winter. It's been pretty slow around here, with the exception of a server issue here and there. Being slow in the Technical Support Department sure doesn't give me a whole lot to talk about in an FAQ column

It's time again to file our federal and state income taxes.
It's a necessary chore that very few enjoy doing, but it doesn't have to involve a dining room table covered in paperwork, adding machines, and pens and pencils.
You can do your taxes online, file them electronically,...

A three year old walked over to a pregnant lady while waiting with his mother in the doctor's office. He inquisitively asked the lady, "Why is your stomach so big?" She replied, "I'm having a baby." With big eyes, he asked, "Is the baby in your stomach?" She said, "He sure is." Then the little boy, with a puzzled look, asked, "Is it a good baby?" She said, "Oh, yes. It's a real good baby." With an even more surprised look, he asked "Then why did you eat him?"
Sue reports for jury duty as ordered, and promptly asks to be excused because she believes she's prejudice. "I took one look at those shifty eyes and that cheap polyester suit and I immediately knew that he was guilty as sin." "Sit down," says the judge. "That's the prosecuting attorney."
Did you hear about the blind man that went bunjee jumping? "It scared the hell out of the dog."
